ANSI/CSA HGV 4.3-2016 Test methods for hydrogen fueling parameter evaluation. 3 Definitions and abbreviations 3.1 Definitions The following definitions shall apply in this Standard: Authority having jurisdiction — the organization, Regulatory Authorit office, or individual responsible for approving equipment, an installation, or a procedure. Average pressure ramp rate (APRR) — the average increase in pressure (MPa/minute) from the start of fueling to the end of fueling. Compressed hydrogen storage system (CHSS) — the compressed hydrogen storage system consists of the pressurized containment vessel(s), Thermally Activated Pressure Relief Devices (TPRDs), shut off device(s), and all components, fittings and fuel lines between the containment vessel(s) and these shut off device(s) that isolate the stored hydrogen from the remainder of the fuel system and the environment. Compressed hydrogen storage system capacity — the total mass of hydrogen stored in the CHSS at the nominal working pressure (at 15 °C), which is equivalent to the CHSS 100% state of charge. Compressed hydrogen storage system capacity categories — the CHSS capacity category is a range of CHSS capacities which may fuel in a similar manner by a fueling protocol. Communications fueling — communications fueling means that a valid data connection has been established from vehicle to fueling station dispenser as described in SAE J2799. Communication mode — method of fueling using communication or non-communications as defined in SAE J2799 and SAE J2601. Communication testing — testing of the IrDA system. Cycle control — controlling the fuel flow in an on-off manner. Cyclic redundancy check — a type of hash function used to produce a checksum used to detect and correct transmission errors in data as defined in SAE J2799. Data communication link — the data communications portion of the connector consists of an infrared emitter that is mounted in the HSV in close proximity to the receptacle and infrared receivers that are located in the nozzle. These devices allow the HSV to send data to the fuel dispensing system.ANSI/CSA HGV 4.3 pdf download.
